Whenever a marathon starts, players that have built the Central Station, the International Terminal, and Busan Station, and connected with train tracks will be sorted into groups; they will then compete to see who can transport the most passengers on their international trains.

To take part in the marathon, you will need to gather passengers from train stations, transport them to the International Terminal, and then send them to your friends’ cities via international trains. The results will be tallied up at the end of the marathon. Players that take the top 3 spots will get especially valuable prizes. To get a chance to take part in the marathon and fight for the top spots, you will need to transport the minimum number of passengers. How many passengers you have transported will determine which group you will be sorted into.
